Savory yumminess!

The savory challenge had a nice turnout of cupcake enthusiasts. I'm happy with the response Iron Cupcake: Chicago is getting from the locals. I think we might have groupies...ha ha ha. We had nine entries of savory goodness to sample.

Pancake and Bacon Cupcakes were one of my two entries.

Melissa, who is one of our veteran bakers, took the gold. Her Pumpkin Sage Ravioli Cupcakes was everyone's favorite for taste and presentation.

Pretty in pink!

Adorable girly girl cake we did over the weekend. It was delivered to The Conrad Downtown Chicago. The customer called me and said, "Everyone loved it".

Cute purse and pearl necklace adorned the top of this pretty in pink cake.
Wanna say "thanks" to the hotel doorman for making the delivery of this cake sooo easy!

Tropical challenge winners!

For Iron Cupcake:Chicago's second challenge, I did things a bit different. Everyone in attendance was able to judge and VOTE for their favorite "cuppie". Two grand prize winners, one for taste and the other for presentation.

This month's tropical challenge entries included, Mango Cupcakes and Guava Cupcakes by yours truly.

Passionate Mango Treasure Cupcakes by Jen. Mango Coconut Cupcakes by Melissa, one of two entries. Mai Tai Cupcakes by Kristin, Rice N Bean Cupcakes brought by Heather and her cute sous chef. And the most interesting cupcake of the night, Jamaican Jerk created by Nicole, citrus challenge winner.

The winner for best presentation was Melissa with her Chocolate Passion Fruit Cupcakes.
